What happens when the entry is avoided?
A successful finish does not mean every attempt worked. Read the sequence around the highlight to understand the exchange.
One fight, more than one attempt
ONE's report of Imanari vs Kwon describes the first entry being evaded before Imanari attacked again. The eventual finish should not erase that earlier defensive success.
Questions to ask when reviewing footage
How far apart are the athletes when the roll starts? Is the leg still within reach after the defender moves? Does the attacker retain a connection and re-enter, or does the exchange reset?
Treat these as questions for reviewing an exchange, rather than a universal escape prescription. A finish-only clip does not show every earlier attempt.
